The Police have arrested a 38-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft of milk powder.
On 4 June 2020 at about 10.15 am, the Police were alerted that several tins of milk powder were missing from a supermarket located along Geylang Road.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTV cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 8 June 2020. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is also believed to be involved in other similar cases of theft.
The man will be charged in court on 10 June 2020 for theft under Section 380 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. The offence carries a jail term of up to seven years and a fine.
