The Police have arrested a 39-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of sexual exposure.
On 3 June 2020 at about 2.22pm, the Police were alerted to a case where the man had exposed his genitals to a 41-year-old female victim twice at the vicinity of Jalan Tiga and Old Airport Road Food Centre.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police and CCTV cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 11 June 2020. The Police are also investigating the man for possible breaches of safe distancing measures.
Police Investigations are ongoing.
The offence of sexual exposure, punishable under Section 377BF(3) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, carries an imprisonment term of up to one year, or a fine or with both. If the offence is committed against persons below 14 years of age, the jail term may extend to 2 years, with a fine or caning.
