The Police have arrested one 41-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of robbery.

On 16 June 2020 at about 7.10am, the Police received a report from an 18-year-old female victim that a man had confronted her in the vicinity of Teck Whye Lane and threatened to slap her when she had refused to hand over her two bags to him.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from the police cameras and CCTVs, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 24 June 2020 in the vicinity of Keat Hong Close. 

The man will be charged in court on 26 June 2020 with robbery under Section 392 of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment term of not less than three years and not more than 14 years, and caning with not less than 12 strokes.
