On 6 July 2020 at about 1.50pm, the police were alerted to a case of stabbing in a residential unit along Recreation Road. Upon arrival, a 95-year-old woman was found lying motionless at the said location and was pronounced dead at scene by a paramedic.
The police have classified the case as murder. Preliminary investigations revealed that both the victim and the suspect are known to each other. The suspect, a 34-year-old woman, has been arrested in relation to the case and will be charged in court on 8 July 2020.
