Security And Traffic Arrangements For National Day Parade 2020 - Parade @ The Padang

The National Day Parade 2020 - Parade @ The Padang will be held on 9 August 2020 (Sunday).

To facilitate the event, the following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic during the stipulated periods:

1. Fullerton Road (between Connaught Drive and Esplanade Drive)

From 8 August, 9pm to 9 August, 2pm

2. Connaught Drive (between lamp post 25F and St Andrew’s Road)

3. Connaught Drive (between Stamford Road and lamp post 25F)

4. St Andrew’s Road

5. Old Parliament Lane

6. Parliament Place (between North Bridge Road and St Andrew’s Road)

7. Supreme Court Lane

8. Coleman Street (between North Bridge Road and St Andrew’s Road)

9. Left lane of Stamford Road (between North Bridge Road and St Andrew’s Road)

10. North Bridge Road (between lamp post 69 and Coleman Street)

9 August, 9am to 11am

11. North Bridge Road (between lamp post 76 and Parliament Place)

During the closure, access is granted only to police and emergency vehicles. Auxiliary police officers and Singapore Armed Forces marshals will be positioned at the affected junctions to assist and direct motorists.

Traffic delays are expected along North Bridge Road, Stamford Road, Esplanade Drive and Nicoll Highway. Motorists are to plan their route early and avoid these roads. Public travelling to these affected areas are also strongly encouraged to use public transport.

Public bus services affected by the closures will be diverted. Similarly, motorists proceeding to Suntec City and Marina Square from High Street are to use alternate routes via Bras Basah Road or Esplanade Drive.

Public parking at the National Gallery Singapore, Parliament House, Supreme Court and The Adelphi will not be available during this period. Vehicles found parked illegally or caused obstruction along the peripheral roads will be removed.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including drones, are strictly prohibited. It is an offence to bring or fly UAVs without a valid permit.
