The Police have arrested a 25-year-old man for his suspected involvement in two cases of outrage of modesty.
On 14 September 2020, two women aged 22 and 50, reported to the Police that they were molested by an unknown man in the vicinity of Ubi Avenue 1 and Jalan Tenaga.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him within 24 hours on 15 September 2020.
The man will be charged in court on 17 September 2020 with outrage of modesty. Anyone convicted for outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to 2 years, or with caning, or with combination of such punishments.
