The police have arrested a 32-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of voyeurism cases.

On 3 and 6 October 2020, the police received separate reports about a man who had allegedly taken upskirt videos of female victims at Bukit Panjang Plaza and Hillion Mall.

Through investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 12 October 2020.  One mobile phone believed to have been used by the man to take the upskirt videos was seized. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is suspected to be involved in other similar cases of voyeurism reported island-wide.

The man will be charged in court on 13 October 2020.  The offence of voyeurism under Section 377BB of the Penal Code carries an imprisonment term which may extend to two years, or fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishments.
