The Police have arrested a 60-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 23 October 2020, the Police received a report that a male victim had been molested by an unknown man along Bedok North Street 3. Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from the police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 28 October 2020.
The man will be charged in court with outrage of modesty on 30 October 2020. The offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354(2) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 carries an imprisonment term which may extend to five years, or a fine, or caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
