Man Arrested For Theft Of Budget 2020 Grocery Vouchers From Letterboxes

The Police have arrested a 46-year-old man for his suspected involvement in cases of theft of Budget 2020 Grocery Vouchers at Marine Terrace.

On 14 October 2020, the Police received a report where Budget 2020 Grocery Vouchers were suspected to be stolen from letterboxes at a residential block along Marine Terrace.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTV cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 29 October 2020. The man is also believed to be involved in similar cases that happened in the vicinity.

The man will be charged in court on 30 October 2020 with theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. The offence carries an imprisonment term which may extend to three years, a fine, or both.
