For the first case, on 10 November 2020, the Police were alerted to a case of loanshark harassment along Choa Chu Kang Street 52, where coffee was splashed into a residential unit. Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of one of the teenagers.

For the second case, on 15 November 2020, the Police were alerted to another case of loanshark harassment along Senja Road, where the door of a residential unit was splashed with coffee.
