The Police have arrested a 34-year-old man for his suspected involvement in two cases of vandalism.
On 17 and 18 December 2020, the Police were alerted to two cases of vandalism where the walls on the first and second floor of a stairwell were spray-painted with graffiti at a residential block in Sembawang Crescent.
Through investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Woodlands Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 18 December, within 10 hours of the report.
The man will be charged in court on 19 December 2020 for vandalism, punishable under Section 3 of the Vandalism Act, Chapter 341.
The offence of vandalism carries a fine not exceeding $2,000/- or imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years, and caning of not less than three strokes and not more than eight strokes.
