The Police have arrested a 45-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty.
On 11 May 2021 at about 12.50pm, the Police received a report from a victim informing that she was purportedly molested by an unknown male along Chai Chee Street. Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 15 May 2021.
The man will be charged in court with outrage of modesty on 17 May 2021. The offence of outrage of modesty, punishable under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 carries an imprisonment term of up to 2 years, or fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishments.
