The Police have arrested two men, aged 23 and 50, for their suspected involvement in a case of armed robbery with hurt.

On 9 January 2022, the Police were alerted to a case of robbery at a convenient store at Tampines Street 71. Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division managed to establish the identities of the two men and arrested them.

The 23-year-old man will be charged in court on 11 January 2021 with one count of armed robbery with hurt, under Section 394 read with Section 397 of the Penal Code 1871. Investigations against the 50-year-old man are ongoing.

Anyone convicted for the offence of armed robbery with hurt shall be punished with imprisonment of not less than five years and not more than 20 years and canning with not less than 12 strokes.
