    Man Arrested For Outrage Of Modesty

    The Police have arrested a 55-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.

    On 6 July 2022 at about 12.40pm, the Police received a report that a woman was purportedly molested by an unknown man along Holland Drive. Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him within four hours from the report.

    The man will be charged in court on 7 July 2022. The offence of outrage of modesty, punishable under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code 1871, carries an imprisonment term which may extend to three years, or fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishments.
