The Police have arrested a 65-year-old man for his suspected involvement in the attempted murder of a 37-year-old man.
On 28 December 2022 at about 10.12pm, the Police received a call for assistance along Marsiling Crescent. Upon arrival, officers found the 37-year-old man with burn wounds and was conveyed conscious to the hospital. The 65-year-old man was arrested at scene in connection to the incident.
The 65-year-old man will be charged in court on 30 December 2022 with attempted murder under Section 307 of the Penal Code 1871. The offence of attempted murder where hurt is caused to any person by such act carries a punishment of life imprisonment and caning, or imprisonment of up to 20 years and fine or caning, or both. Police investigations are ongoing.
