On 20 April 2023, Clementi Police Division presented the Public Spiritedness Award to a member of the public for assisting the Police in a case of voyeurism. Four organisations were also commended for their strong community partnership with the Police.
Case Commended for Public Spiritedness Award
On 1 March 2023, Mr Ronald Chia, an Operationally Ready Police National Serviceman had assisted the Police in the arrest of a man for voyeurism. He and his friend had alerted the female victim that they saw a man allegedly taking an upskirt video of her. The victim was travelling on the escalator and had not noticed the act. Mr Ronald Chia and his friend immediately stepped forward and confronted the man before calling the Police for assistance. His actions led to the swift arrest of the man for voyeurism.
Organisations Commended for Community Partnership Award
The following four organisations were commended for their close collaboration with Clementi Police Division in enhancing their security and crime prevention measures to prevent, deter and detect crime. In recognition of their significant contributions, the organisations were presented with the Community Partnership Award (Organisation).

Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Serene Chiu, Commander of Clementi Police Division, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the award recipients for their unwavering commitment to keep our community safe and secure. She said, “We value the strong collaboration between the Police and community partners in our fight against crime. Their actions are a good example for others and a testament to the strong sense of partnership between the Police and the community. Together, we make Singapore a safer place for all to live in.”
