Since 1 November 2016, members of the public who wish to appeal against their traffic offences can do so online via the Traffic e-Appeals Portal on the Singapore Police Force’s (SPF) e-services webpage.

With effect from 20 July 2023, the services in the Traffic e-Appeals Portal will be expanded to cover appeals against driving licence suspension or revocation and grant of driving licence on medical grounds. These additional services will allow Traffic Police (TP) to better track and manage appeals, thereby reducing the turnaround time for the review of appeals. With the expansion of services in the Traffic e-Appeals Portal, TP will no longer accept walk-in appeals and appeals submitted via fax, email or post.

TP would also like to reiterate that only appeals with extenuating circumstances (e.g. medical emergencies) and with supporting documentary proof will be considered. To protect the safety of all road users, TP takes a firm stance towards traffic offenders. All appeals which do not meet the above criteria will be rejected.

To access the Traffic e-Appeals Portal, please visit http://www.police.gov.sg/e-services and click on “Traffic e-Appeals”.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
TRAFFIC E-APPEALS PORTAL

General Questions

  1. What are the services added to the Traffic e-Appeals Portal?

With effect from 20 July 2023, appeals against driving licence suspension or revocation and grant of driving licence on medical grounds can be submitted online via the Traffic e-Appeals Portal.

  2. When do I submit an appeal for medical-related issues?

If you have declared a medical condition during your application of a provisional driving licence or when in possession of a qualified driving licence, or have been declared unfit to drive by a Singapore registered medical practitioner, you may consider seeking a further medical review. If you are subsequently deemed medically fit, you may submit the medical examination report via the “Grant of Driving Licence On Medical Grounds” option on the Traffic e-Appeals Portal.

  3. Can I still use the portal to appeal against traffic offences?

Yes. The existing e-service is still available via the same portal.

  4. For the new appeal options, how long does the appeal process usually take?

You will be notified via email within 2 to 4 weeks on the outcome of your appeal. For complex cases, it may take at least 4 weeks to complete the review of the appeal.

  5. Can I still drive while pending the outcome of the appeal?

You may continue to drive unless your suspension or revocation period has started. Driving under suspension or revocation is a serious traffic offence.

  6. How can I check the status of my appeal?

You can use the appeal reference number to check the status of your appeal. To check on the status of your appeal, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Log on to SPF website.

    Step 2: Click on “e-Services”.

Step 3: Click on “Traffic e-Appeals Portal” under “Apply”.

Step 4: Click on “Check Appeal Status”.

Step 5: Fill in your appeal reference number.

Step 6: Follow the instructions to compete the report.

  7. What should I do when I encounter a technical difficulty when submitting the appeal?

Please report the matter through our official feedback channel at SPF_TP_Feedback@spf.gov.sg or 6547 0000.

  8. Can I re-appeal should my appeal be rejected?

Repeated appeals without fresh evidence or information will not be considered.
