Polling Day will be held on 1 September 2023 (Friday). Voters are advised to take public transport, or where possible, walk to their polling station.

Parking will not be allowed within the premises of polling stations located in places such as schools and community centres. It will also not be allowed along the roads near the polling stations; enforcement action will be taken. Vehicles found parking indiscriminately or causing obstruction may also be towed away.

There will be special drop-off points at all polling stations for vehicles conveying voters who are sick, infirm, or disabled. Drivers can approach the election officials for assistance and direction.

Members of the public are advised not to loiter in the vicinity of polling stations. They should leave the polling station after casting their vote.

Members of the public are also advised to stay vigilant and to call the Police at ‘999’ immediately should they spot any suspicious-looking persons or items (e.g. persons with unusual attire or suspicious behaviour, or parcels with stains, wires or emitting a strange smell). If they spot such at polling stations, they should also alert the election officials at the stations.

The Police are committed to safeguarding the electoral process and ensuring the public’s safety and security on Polling Day. We will monitor the situation closely and will not hesitate to take action against any person who attempts to disrupt or interfere with the polling process.
