The Police have arrested a 37-year-old woman for her alleged involvement in the murder of a 56-year-old man.
On 8 May 2024 at about 2am, the Police were alerted to a call for assistance at a residential unit along Beach Road. Preliminary investigations revealed that a 56-year-old man was lying unconscious inside the unit. He was conveyed to the hospital, where he subsequently passed away. A 37-year-old woman was arrested at scene. Both parties are known to each other. A knife, believed to be used in the incident, was seized.
The woman will be charged in court on 9 May 2024 with murder under Section 302(1) of the Penal Code 1871. The offence of murder carries the death penalty. Police investigations are ongoing.
