The Singapore Police Force (SPF) held the Police Day Parade 2024 on 3 June 2024 at the Home Team Academy. Mr Teo Chee Hean, Senior Minister (SM) and Coordinating Minister for National Security, was the Guest-of-Honour at the parade which saw more than 640 participants from the various Police divisions, specialist units, Volunteer Special Constabulary, and cadets from the National Police Cadet Corps.

Commemorated annually on 3 June since 1971, Police Day celebrates the SPF’s achievements, recognises the contributions of past and present officers, and brings officers together to renew our pledge to serve Singapore and to carry out our duties with courage, loyalty, integrity, and fairness.

Award Presentation

SM Teo presented awards for the Best Land Division, the Best National Service (NS) Operationally Ready Unit, Best Full-time Police National Service (PNSF) officers and Best Police National Servicemen (PNSmen) of the Year. Please refer to Annex A for the list of award recipients.

SM Teo said: “Our police officers work tirelessly to keep Singapore safe and secure, continually adapting to technological advances and the evolving security landscape. On this Police Day, let us honour the contributions and sacrifices of all police officers, recognise their commitment and dedication, and thank them for their service to the nation.”

Best Land Division

Clementi Police Division was awarded the Best Land Division award for the third consecutive year. Commander of Clementi Police Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Serene Chiu said “Winning the Best Land Division award for the third consecutive year is a testament to the steadfast dedication, consistent operational excellence, and professionalism of our officers in Clementi Police Division. I extend my gratitude to all officers, past and present, for their unwavering commitment and relentless efforts in keeping Singapore safe and secure. This achievement is also a reflection of the strong partnerships we have built with our community stakeholders and volunteers. Their vigilance, cooperation and support have been invaluable in our collective efforts to fight crime and maintain peace and safety.”

Best NS Operationally Ready Unit

Airport Police Division (APD) was awarded the Best NS Operationally Ready Unit. NS Commander of APD, SUPT(NS) Shaikh Abdullah, said: “It is truly commendable that APD NS Contingent has achieved the top spot for Best NS Operationally Ready Unit for three consecutive years. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of every PNSman in APD, current, past, and present. This achievement clearly demonstrates PNSmen’s commitment to excellence for the Singapore Police Force. A well-deserved recognition of the efforts and sacrifices made by all APD PNSmen and their families. Congratulations, APD NS Contingent for this outstanding achievement!”

Post-Parade Segment

The post-parade segment showcased a performance by the SPF Combined Band. It was a display of Singapore’s rich multiculturalism by blending military music, Scottish bagpipes, and ethnic percussions. The parade drew a spectacular close as the mobile column, featuring a line-up of 31 police vehicles, made its way through the parade square.
