The Singapore Road Safety Awards (SRSA) & Road Safety Seminar (RSS) 2024, co-organised by the Singapore Road Safety Council (SRSC) and Automobile Association (AAS), with the support from the Traffic Police, Land Transport Authority and Workplace Safety and Health Institute, was held on 11 October 2024 at the Civil Service Club @ Tessensohn.
Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Minister of State for the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of National Development, graced the event as Guest-of-Honour. A total of 33 awards were presented, including nine Excellence Awards and 24 Merit Awards. Please refer to Annex A for the list of award winners.
The SRSA recognises exemplary companies and company drivers/riders for their efforts in putting in place systems and for working conscientiously towards enhancing road safety. To reflect the increasing significance of point-to-point transport services on online platforms in Singapore’s road safety ecosystem, this year marks the inaugural inclusion of nominations for safe drivers on these platforms in the SRSA.
In conjunction with the SRSA, the RSS was organised to bring together fleet owners of heavy vehicles, to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the industry. This includes discussions on the latest developments in road safety, including new government policies, emerging technologies and fleet management best practices.
The RSS featured presentations from road safety authorities, industry stakeholders and past SRSA-winning companies, who shared their insights and experience in how businesses can enhance their road safety performance by incorporating technology and adopting a proactive approach to fleet management and driver safety.
SRSC and its partners are committed to fostering industry engagement by promoting road safety awareness through targeted outreach programmes like the SRSA and RSS. SRSC urges companies operating vehicle fleets, along with their drivers, to play their part by continuing to improve their safety standards for safer roads.
