Livestreaming Capabilities of the Body-Worn Camera
Police officers who were deployed at the Countdown were equipped with Body-Worn Cameras (BWC) that could have their livestreaming capabilities activated, when required. The live footage enhances the Police’s sensemaking capabilities, for better situational awareness when managing incidents on the ground.

Enhancements to the Crowd@MarinaBay App
To better manage large crowds around the Marina Bay area, the Crowd@MarinaBay app was also available to give members of the public a better view of real-time crowd levels and closed areas.

Used during the Countdown in 2022, the Crowd@MarinaBay app has been enhanced to incorporate new features. These include allowing users to find out how crowded MRT stations around Marina Bay are in real-time and a wayfinding feature for users to navigate their way around Marina Bay.

LED Lights for Crowd Management
For better crowd management, the Central Police Division also implemented an innovative series of LED lighting solutions for the Countdown. These included mounted LED directional signage boards, reflective arrows and runway lights at various locations in the Marina Bay area to brighten paths and provide clear instructions for crowd movement.
