Bravery in the face of danger; a commitment to bringing criminals to justice; and putting duty above self. These qualities encapsulate the essence of the Singapore Police Force’s (SPF) 200-year policing journey, and are brought to vibrant life through the SPF200 Exhibition.
Launched on 6 February 2020 by Mr K Shanmugam, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law, the “Frontier Town to Safest City” exhibition will run from 6 February to 17 May 2020 at the National Museum of Singapore.
Stories from the past are brought through guided tours conducted by retired Police officers Among them is Mr Chan Soo Wah, who served with the SPF for 34 years and who in 1969 almost lost his life to a hidden explosive device while on duty.
Those who wish to learn more about the rich history of the SPF can also take a virtual tour of the Exhibition. The tour uses 360-degree video technology to take learning beyond the museum space.
