On 24 November 2023, 81 officers from the Public Transport Security Command (TransCom) celebrated the completion of their Basic Course! This ceremony was an important milestone for the graduating Police National Service (Full-time) officers as they prepare to take on the role of TransCom Foot Patrol Officers.
What made the occasion even sweeter was that it was also the first time that parents and loved ones of graduands were invited to attend the Basic Course Graduation Ceremony at TransCom Headquarters, in recognition of the vital role they play in the officers' journey within the Singapore Police Force (SPF).
During the five-week course, the officers underwent various practical training (such as First Responder Training) and theory lessons to familiarise themselves with TransCom’s operations.
During the graduation ceremony, Commander TransCom, Assistant Commissioner of Police Masagoes Idris Hussain, extended his heartiest congratulations to the officers for successfully completing the course. He also encouraged the officers to maintain a high level of professionalism and discipline while patrolling as the officers not only represent TransCom, but the SPF as a whole.
The SPF welcomes the 81 graduating officers into the TransCom family as they begin their journey as Foot Patrol Officers, helping to safeguard Singapore’s public land transport system.
