The sporting spirit was ablaze at the 59th Singapore Police Force (SPF) and Royal Malaysia Police (RMP) Inter-Forces Games! Held from 30 September to 3 October 2024, this year’s edition of the Inter-Forces Games saw officers taking part in seven sports: soccer, netball, dragon boat, women’s futsal, volleyball, sepak takraw and golf.

The SPF last hosted the Games in 2019 while the 2023 Inter-Forces Games was hosted by the RMP in Kuala Lumpur. Athletes from both contingents were drawn from the ample sporting talents of both Police forces.

Before the finals were held, training sessions at the respective event venues gave officers from both contingents the chance to renew old friendships and build new bonds. The finals were conducted on 2 October, with each event keenly contested and officers giving their very best in the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play.

This year’s Police Dragon Boat Championship – always a standout on the SPF’s sporting calendar – was distinguished by a team from the RMP taking part. Rowers from both SPF and RMP contingents were loudly cheered by their supporters onshore.

Over the decades, the SPF-RMP Inter-Forces Games have helped to cement the warm friendship and collaborative bonds between both Police forces. This year’s edition was no exception, with much goodwill and laughter in the sporting arena and beyond. Well done to all the officers who gave their best this year and did us proud!
