On 14 March 2025, the Traffic Police (TP) joined hands with Chua Chu Kang Town Council to launch a mini-Road Safety Park at Block 208 Choa Chu Kang Central. Guest of Honour Mr Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Minister for Trade and Industry, highlighted the importance of such community initiatives and flagged off a round of traffic games hosted by TP officers for a group of 25 preschool children and their parents.
As part of the Neighbourhood Renewal Programme, the mini-Road Safety Park is designed to provide children with a safe and interactive space to learn essential road safety habits within their neighbourhood. The park features actual traffic signs and guided activities that allow children to gain hands-on experience in understanding traffic rules and pedestrian safety.
The TP regularly engages the public through school visits, community outreach and interactive road safety programmes, tailoring key safety messages for different road users. Through sustained community partnerships and proactive education, TP remains dedicated to shaping a safer road culture in Singapore – one little step at a time!
